A quick and easy paté recipe that can be made with fresh or frozen peas and served as a dip or a spread for sandwiches.

 

Method

  1. Purée the peas in a food processor, or with a potato masher, until smooth.
  2. Stir the yoghurt, onion, mint, garlic, chilli, olive oil, ground cumin and pepper into the peas. Then put the paté in the fridge until you're ready to serve it.

 

Serves: 6

Time: 30 mins

 

Store any leftovers in the fridge (but for no longer than 2 days). How about eating it for tomorrows lunch?

  • 450g peas, cooked and cooled
  • ½ red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • ½ fresh red chilli, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 10 mint leaves, finely chopped
  • 100ml Greek yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • freshly ground black pepper
